The Japanese Beetle is a highly destructive plant pest. In its larval stage (known as grubs), it feeds on the roots of various plants and grasses, often destroying the lawn. Once they are in the adult stage, they begin attacking the leaves and fruits of several hundred species of fruit trees, ornamental shrubs, vines, and field and vegetable crops. They can easily destroy a plant they have chosen to feed on.
With proper IPM (Integrative Pest Management) spraying, these pests can be controlled. The spraying will not eliminate the insects, but rather reduce the level of damage to the effected plants. It is important to control this pest before it causes major plant damage, or possibly destroys your shrubs and plants. |
