We suggest waiting until at least 9 a.m. before doing any noisy lawn work and completing it before 7 p.m. Your neighbors will appreciate your consideration, especially if they have young kids that go to bed early.
Lawn work is messy work. If it’s been a while since you last mowed, you will likely have quite a mess of lawn clippings to clean up when you’re done. It’s definitely bad form to leave these all over your neighbor’s driveway, sidewalk, or into their lawn. Make sure you rake or blow your clippings evenly back into your lawn so they can break down and provide nitrogen to the soil. This will keep your neighborhood looking clean and your lawn naturally healthy.
