2. Fertilization and Weed Control
Some of the most important steps to a lush green lawn took place last winter with winter fertilizer applications. With the groundwork set last year, spring lawn care will be easier. This is the perfect time to apply weed-preventing treatments to your lawn, in order to curb crabgrass and spring weeds while replenishing the root system with nutrients for vibrant strength all season long.
3. Seeding
If your lawn has patches that need filled in, the best time to seed is when the ground is no longer frozen but the stress of summer heat hasn’t yet begun. The best part about seeding in the spring is that seasonal rain will do most of the hard work for you. Go ahead and plant grass seed in needed patches, then make sure they are watered daily for one to two weeks (either by you or Mother Nature).
