Dichondra is undesirable for the following reasons.
- It’s a semi-evergreen perennial and spreads by slender creeping stems that form mats of about 1½ to 3 inches tall.
- It’s prolific in weak turf on golf courses, home lawns, play fields, and institutional grounds.
- The plants can live for two years or more.
